Mum’s magic touch

Unfolding the portable massage table in my living room, I gestured to my daughter Pippa, then 6.
‘On you get,’ I smiled.
It was November 2016, and I’d recently started a Swedish massage course.
Pippa was going to be my guinea pig.
I kneaded her arms and legs as I’d learnt.
When I gently pressed her tummy, the left side felt swollen and stuck out slightly.
‘Does that hurt?’ I asked.
