An analysis of Google searches has revealed that thousands of people in Britain have been looking for their perfect potty. Various tech-savvy Japanese toilets with built in control panels offer features including a ‘welcome greeting’ and automatic lid opening on approach and closing when finished. Other options include glow in the dark, automatic flushing, silent flushing, a heated seat, music on demand and the ability to somehow measure the user’s blood sugar, pulse, blood pressure and body fat content. One interior design expert spokesperson, from homedit.com, suggested, “Smart home technology has come leaps and bounds, offering a whole host of smart devices that not only make our lives that little bit easier, but, also conserve water, electricity and the environment.”
