STRONG FOR MUMMY

Pulling up my top while I lay in front of the sonographer, I took a deep breath in and tried to relax.

It was my 20-week scan, in December 2019, and naturally me and my partner David, 31, were slightly nervous.

When the sonographer turned to me with a look of concern on her face, my entire body tensed.

‘What is it?’ I asked.

‘Don’t panic, I can see an abnormality and we’ll need a couple of extra scans,’ she said.
