More than half the population is female and one thing’s for sure: most of them will need help managing their fertility at some point. Yet funding and access to contraception remain variable and a $6 million push to improve the situation hasn’t had enough impact, says women’s health advocate Orna McGinn, one of the authors of a recent paper published in the New Zealand Medical Journal.
