A tiger throws back its head to let out a satisfying yawn, a glistening pink tongue unfurling from a fang-guarded jaw. There is, of course, nothing peculiar about a wild animal in need of a rest, but this feline with its flame-coloured fur and coal black stripes is made rather conspicuous by its surrounds – the drab grey corridor of a dusty museum with a centuries-old tapestry hanging on the wall.
The idea behind the eye-catching juxtaposition came to Alpay Efe last year when he spotted some photos online of three little Humboldt penguins from Kansas City Zoo waddling through the fine art galleries of the nearby Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. To help stop the
