Slow Progress!

Progress on my second Super Six has been a bit slow recently, and services like chrome plating are taking longer to get done due to Covid restrictions.

The delay probably is compounded by more people restoring bikes at home during lockdown and then sending in parts for chrome plating. I sent my Z1 parts to ACF Howell in Walsall, West Midlands (01922 649992). I’ve used them several times before and they have always done a great job. I was really pleased when the parts were done and scheduled for delivery mid-December so I could finally build the wheels and get the chassis rolling before Christmas.

The original spokes were already re-zinc plated,
