Recently, I’ve noticed my social-media feed seems to be full of pictures of mothers and daughters proclaiming themselves ‘best friends’. They dress the same, and boast they do everything together, including partying and double dates. It’s a trend that I find deeply disturbing. And I blame the mums – I bet most young girls don’t really want to go clubbing with a 50-year-old in a miniskirt.
