As a new mother, Natalie Rushdie has lots of helpful advice to other mums who may be feeling isolated at home after lockdown put an end to traditional baby group networks and family visits.

“I think it’s really hard because for the first time in history, women, effectively, are being completely isolated from a support system and are having to bring up babies on their own,” says the star, who is mum to three-month-old daughter Rose with husband Zafar.

To make up for this, the jazz singer, who shared this exclusive picture of her daughter – author Salman Rushdie’s first grandchild – with HELLO!, suggests joining virtual groups and crooning to your baby to help new mums through those tricky few months.
