Motorcycle batteries

Is my battery knackered or is it something more serious?

ooked after properly, a regular motorcycle battery should last between 4-5 years. Electricity is generated from a chemical reaction between electrolyte and lead plates. Gradually the acid forms crystals around the lead plates, reducing capacity and preventing it from recharging properly. Using a battery charger/maintainer can double battery lifespan, but eventually every battery reaches the stage when it cannot hold a charge. If your battery is old and goes flat overnight, it's probably time to get a replacement.
