PINOT NOIR

97 Big Table Farm 2018 Sunnyside Vineyard Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley). Not just a home run, this new vintage is a grand slam for Sunnyside. The old-vine fruit brings a symphony of grace notes, along with freshly picked wild-berry fruit. Herbes de Provence, sassafras, cola and a fine, light sprinkling of brown sugar pile on the nuances. This irresistible wine will be hard to put away, but will reward cellaring over the rest of this decade. Cellar Selection. —P.G.
