LOCK YOUR GEAR

Dragging a helmet and jacket on a short walk to a lookout or cafe is a pain. These compact cable locks free up riders to leave their bike and gear unattended and protected from opportunistic theft. Made of high-impact plastic, featuring four combination dials and 90cm of plastic-coated braided stainless-steel cable, it’s long enough for both jacket and helmet.

THREE LITRES OF KRIEGA HYDRATION

I’ve said it before – the only thing you should carry on your back while riding a road bike is water, and the Kriega Hydro-3 pack would be a great choice for this. You don’t have to use the full capacity if you don’t want to, but it’s there if you need it, and having Kriega’s Quadloc-Lite harness to distribute the load means it won’t feel as heavy as a traditional shoulder-strapped pack. The outer is Cordura for durability and there’s a small side pocket for a day’s essentials.
