Holiday cooking!

MELT’N’MIX CHOC-CHIP SLICE

MAKES 18 PREP 15 MINS COOK 20 MINS

½ cup self-raising flour
½ cup plain flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
125g unsalted butter, melted
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup white choc baking bits
1/3 cup milk choc baking bits

ICING

½ cup icing sugar mixture
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp hot water

1 Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease an 18cm x 28cm slice pan. Line base and sides with baking paper, extending paper 2cm above pan edges.

2 Sift combined flours and cocoa into a large bowl. Stir in sugar. Make a well in centre, then stir in butter, egg and vanilla until combined. Spread mixture evenly into prepared pan. Sprinkle over combined baking bits and gently press into top of slice.

3 Bake slice 20 mins or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Cool slice in
