‘King of box office’ Rajinikanth, turns 70

SUPERSTAR Rajinikanth turned 70 on Saturday.

According to dnaindia.com, born as Shivaji Rao Gaekwad to a Marathi family from Bengaluru, Rajinikanth is hailed as the “King of the Box Office”.

“It only requires in 1975, Rajinikanth went on to become a mega-star and hold a special place in the hearts of his fans, so much so that they literally worship him. In a career spanning over four decades, he has done over 150 films in various languages and is on the verge of beginning his new innings in politics,” said the site.
