The Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s birth name was Amitabh Harivansh Shrivastava but popular name is Amitabh Bachchan. His date of birth is 11th October, 1942. His place of birth is Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. His father’s name was Dr. Harivanshrai Bachchan and mother was called Teji Bachchan. He acquired his school education from Sherwood College and further education from B.sc. Kirorimal College of Delhi. He did his first job in Kolkata’s Bird and Company for 500 Rs. His younger brother is called Ajitabh Bachchan. Amitabh Bachchan was married on 3rd June, 1973 to Jaya Bachchan. His son was named Abhishek and daughter was named Shweta. His first film was ‘Saat Hindustani’.
Amitabh is the superstar of Bollywood. In 1996, he establishes a film company by the name ‘Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited’ but unfortunately it didn’t work and it had to be closed.
He had close relations with the Nehru family and on the insistence of Rajiv Gandhi; he fought the elections of Loksabha in 1985 from Allahabad and won with a difference of two lakh votes. But he was not interested in politics. His name was brought in the Bofors Tank Scam. He resigned from his post in between.
During the shooting of Coolie (1982), he had an accident in which he got a deep injury in his stomach due to which his intestines got cut. He was fighting between life and death. People from all over the world prayed for him and he returned back to Bollywood with a new energy and enthusiasm.
He has been using his deep voice in a lot of movies.
