IN 2018, VET and behaviourist Gemma Pearson launched the “Don’t Break Your Vet” campaign, designed to encourage owners to help reduce the risks vets sometimes face when treating horses.

The campaign was a huge success, with many owners actively learning and implementing skills through easy to follow online tutorials put together by Gemma, including “easy injections”, “learning to stand still” and “calm clipping”. The application of these skills meant horses were easier to handle and much less stressed during veterinary treatments.
