Chana Magaj
500g chana flour
1/3 cup milk
2½ cups butter ghee
500g icing sugar, sieved
½ cup Klim Milk Powder
1 tbs green elachi (cardamom) powder
1 tsp nutmeg
½ cup chopped almonds rose essence
½ cup pecan nuts (optional)
Place the chana flour in a large bowl and gradually add the milk. Rub it in with your fingers until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Set aside to dry for a few hours.
Using a thick-based pot, heat the butter ghee on medium temperature.
Add the mixture and cook for 30 to 35 minutes stirring continuously until it is brown in colour.
