Melissa Thompson Heroes and highlights of 2020

Wow. 2020, eh? A global pandemic, a national lockdown, racial injustice under the spotlight more than ever, wildfires and a defining US presidential race. We won’t forget the last 12 months in a hurry. While many of us were served more hardship than in living memory, there were examples of true excellence in difficult times. So I’m shining a spotlight on some of the great things from this year, which gave me hope in humanity at a time when there seemed to be none. Though 2020 will be remembered for its challenges, I want to pay homage to its heroes – the people, the dishes and the movements.
