Ivory Coast sees new dawn

THE emphatic victory of President Alassane Ouattara in the last national elections heralds the dawn of a new era for the west African country and paves the way for the new administration to build upon the success of the “Ivorian miracle” to leapfrog the country post the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to the provisional results published by the Independent Electoral Commission, the vote of the October 31 presidential election gave incumbent President Ouattara a resounding victory of 94.27%.
