As a part of the plan to initiate the ‘development of 300,000 housing units in metropolitan would like to carefully unravel the background and procedures to promoting these 3rd Generation New Towns, which were advanced based on the experience of promoting the 1st and 2nd Generation New Towns, through the voices of various concerned parties including the competition planners, competition winners, urban researchers, and participating designers. It is time to unveil the stories that we have been wondering, such as how the urban paradigm is changing as it faces immediate crises such as environmental challenges and demographic cliffs, and how the bird’s eyes views and plans expressed through drawings transform lived experience and living conditions.
