Not too long ago, I had cause to spend a day driving around the West Midlands, searching out the old (and in many cases demolished) places where Austin-Healeys had once been important tenants. All in all it was a depressing day, and suddenly I am reminded that my last port of call was on a scruffy road called Kelvin Way in West Bromwich a few miles north-west of Birmingham, where the Jensen-Healey breathed its last in April 1976.
