SANDY MACNAB MOVES ON

After a very extensive restoration, which is now three-quarters finished but stalled, renowned Foden owner Mike Wilkinson approached Hywel Mason from Pembrokeshire, who runs the famous plant and construction company, with the idea of buying 1914 Foden 6hp DCC No. 4752 SN1647 road locomotive Sandy MacNab. After a meeting around the table a deal was agreed. The engine is now at Johnson of Banks, Southport for the completion of the restoration.

The Mason brothers have been part of the backbone of the so successful GDSF plant working, which came to a sad end in 2018, although a static display and a ring parade continued each day of the 2019 show of course. The brothers’ famous Welsh-Irish tractor road runs, for
