t’s probably hard to overstate how surreal it is to collaborate with Keanu Reeves on a comic book. As co-writer Matt Kindt puts it, it was far from traditional. “We would do these jam sessions — just spitballing character and plot,” he says. “He’snow, so we were just doing Zoom meetings once a week. It almost feels like we’re telling the story in an aural tradition — like around a campfire in ancient times.” Better yet, Reeves would tell his story physically, too. “He’ll be acting out things, saying the lines, testing stuff out. It’s fun to watch him do it. There’s no ego there.”
