THIS MONTH AT EMPIRE

been a turbulent year for movies, but the small-screen industry kept chugging along nicely and, in fact, helped fill the voidand . We may primarily be a FILM magazine, but we couldn’t ignore the small-screen juggernaut last year. With so many movie releases being delayed (and delayed again), there were months when, if it hadn’t been for the movies and TV shows streaming on Disney+, Netflix, Stan et al, we would have struggled to fill our ‘On Screen’ section. So, with that in mind, it seems appropriate that this issue we look back at some of the great series of 2020, including Australia’s own . We also look ahead and preview one of the most highly anticipated series of 2021, .
