Positive maize outlook expected to continue in 2020/2021

The data about South Africa’s 2020/2021 maize crop continues to paint a positive outlook. Figures released on 28 October by the Crop Estimates Committee (CEC) showed that South African farmers intended to increase the area planted to maize in the 2020/2021 production season by 5% year-on-year (y/y) to 2,75 million hectares.
