GROWING CUKES

English or Dutch cuke varieties are long and cylindrical with edible skin, and are usually grown for slicing. Then there are the smaller versions like ‘Beta Alpha’ or ‘Mini’, which are often pickled and which have thicker skin and more noticeable prickles.
