I have never seen Fargo, but this season with Chris Rock looks very interesting. Do I need to watch the previous installments to know what’s going on, or does it start with a new storyline each season? —Michele

First, follow your instincts and do not miss this season. (You is an anthology series, meaning every season starts fresh, with a new set of actors and (usually) characters in different locales and time settings. Even though the series occasionally makes a nod to other seasons, each stands alone and can be watched without knowing anything about what aired previously. What connects the various chapters is a distinctive style of dark humor and suspense, and because each season is self-contained, there’s no way to predict the fate of anyone, regardless of how big the star.
