Shepherd’s hut
An example of this has been brought home to me recently. Around 16 or 17 years ago, I bought an old shepherd’s hut from down in Suffolk. I can’t believe it’s that long ago and can remember it clearly (also I wrote about the renovation in this mag). It turned out to be nearly a day’s job getting it loaded up and bringing it home on my twin axle trailer.
It is parked up near the cottage and for the next year on and off I did some repairs and alterations, and it has stood in the same spot since then. It is solidly built and very heavy, I could tell that when I towed it home. The old Trooper left a trail of black smoke so thick it could be still hanging about all the way from Suffolk to Hampstead Towers in Lincolnshire.
