Q: I like the look of soft plastics, but are they actually any good for serious bass fishing?

HG says: If I look back at all the photographs I have of what we might call bigger bass, I reckon that more than 60 per cent were caught on soft plastics. Not only do these lures work well for bass fishing, but also, if you take surface lures out of the equation, then I know of some bass anglers who don’t bother fishing with diving hard lures anymore.
