fter 20 years subscribing to CB, classic car restorer Paul Gilmour, a 1935, 41ft Harry Becker design and build, was hull only, and in dry storage for 40 years. He also bought a 37ft, 1961 Udell Skerry Yacht built at the Kungsor boatyard in Sweden. Paul returned to her original name of , had her surveyed and the list of small jobs addressed by a shipwright, then took delivery just before lockdown. She’s pictured here in the workshop alongside some series one E Types and (on the lift) an XK150 DHC. will need a new sternpost and more. “What appeals to me about the 22Sqm yachts at around 40ft (loosely similar to 6-M yachts) apart from the lines and performance are the dimensions: at 6ft 6in beam and weighing around 2.5 tonnes, they can be trailed and kept indoors for seasonal maintenance.”
