‘Traffic Control’ in Beginner Rail Classes
If you’re competing at Western shows in Beginner or Novice rail classes, you’re likely to find horses and riders of many types and at many levels of experience. Entering a beginner class can sometimes be likened to the first time you pulled out onto a main highway in your car, with your ‘L’ Plates on. There would most likely have been people of all levels of experience in charge of horsepower of varying types and sizes—overtaking, changing lanes, braking and, of course, sometimes going too fast!
In your drive to succeed, let’s have a little fun, getting to know and understand rail classes. Before you enter, familiarise yourself with the rules for these classes. Much like being in control of a car, you’re not the passenger, you’re the driver. So, remember—always be considerate of others.
