Your editorial in Caravan World magazine's July issue (CW601) was very interesting about the criticisms journalists encounter.

My wife and I have travelled extensively in all states of this wonderful country on all types of roads and tracks, so I write with some experience.

There are approximately 914,000km of roads in Australia and, at an estimate, at least half to two thirds would be dirt roads. So even if a person wants to travel on only bitumen roads, at some stage they will encounter a dirt
