What is Refuge?

Refuge is the largest specialist provider of domestic abuse services in the country. We support 6,500 women and children on any given day through our refuges, community programmes, legal services and the National Domestic Abuse Helpline, which is open 24/7. We also lobby government and raise awareness about the issue. Women need to know that domestic abuse is a crime, that they’re not alone and that Refuge is here to support them.
