All roads lead to CHROME

Procrastination, perseverance and a pandemic. Who could have guessed a new writing project would be so exciting?

Back in June 2019, we decided to launch our own magazine. We were younger then and full of hope. We had the writing experience, extensive knowledge on our chosen subject, and a specific audience. What could possibly go wrong? There were three obstacles we hadn’t accounted for.

Two of them were us.

The other was a global pandemic.

An idea takes shape

Let us take you back to where it all began. Common writing advice is ‘write what you know’ so during a period of disillusion with our fiction writing where the rejections were higher than our mum’s blood pressure, we decided to pitch to non-fiction magazines which suited our interests: tattoos, serial killers and ghost hunting. But our favourite hobby is polefit. We scoured the internet for poledancing magazines, but only found ones in Germany, Australia and the USA.
