Using a multimeter

WHEN maintaining your Land Rover, there comes a time when you will have to work on the electrical system. To do that properly, you’ll need a multimeter – and at least a basic knowledge of how to use it. A meter doesn’t just tell you a battery is charged, it gives you answers to questions such as whether a wire is broken internally, what unlabelled contacts are on a switch, whether vehicle earths are good, etc. Keep a Land Rover for a long time, and you’ll eventually need to find these out.
