COVID-19 KEEPS INDUSTRY CLOSED

With most of the world’s cruise ships still idle, many of the larger operators are extending their closure well into the autumn. P&O Cruises are now planning to resume sailing in October and Cunard in November.

The entire Royal Caribbean group (including Celebrity, Azamara and Silversea) plans a staged resumption from mid-September, while Carnival companies are aiming for the end of that month. Even river ships in the USA, not covered by the CDC no-sail order, are still not operating, but American Cruise Lines is hoping to resume sailings on the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers in July.
