FTI • German travel group FTI Touristik is to pull out of cruising. Its single ship, the 400-passenger, 1980-built Berlin, will be sold. This ship is largely unchanged internally since her major refit for Saga in 2006, after which she was the first Spirit of Adventure.
PRINCESS • Diamond Princess, the ship at the centre of the Coronavirus crisis in Yokohama, will replace Sapphire Princess in South America over the winter of 2021-22. Following the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Ruby Princess and the disembarkation of a number of passengers later found to have Covid-19, the ship, crew and company were exonerated.
