Employing a modified Morris Minor floorpan and originally created as a potential ‘new Minor’, the design was moved upmarket via Wolseley and Riley badging, a posher interior and 1.5-litre B-series power, giving BMC a ‘luxury’ contender in the compact saloon sector.
