As reported on this month’s news pages, the government have announced the result of the consultation regarding old tyres and most of us will now have to renew the front tyres on our preserved lorries every ten years, irrespective of apparent condition.

To clarify; the ten year tyre age limit applies to tyres on the front axle of heavy goods vehicles, buses and coaches, and all tyres on all axles
