In 1984 Frank said to us in a letter he wanted to sell Marshall No. 61880 I told him I didn’t think I could raise enough money to buy it. My thinking that one steam roller and a well rebuilt portable might be enough to fund a worn out traction engine, but not just at the moment. He said that it wouldn’t be very expensive as it needed new tubes and possibly a firebox.
