OLD TYMER WRITES!

Dear Editor,

I am pleased with the purchase of the magazine Old Glory for November 2021, when I noted the steam roller Daisy on the front cover. I was certain I had seen the machine at Welshpool & Llanfair Railway Gala in 2004, but when I read inside the details with photographs it was not the same one as I had taken pictures of in 2004.

As a former British Railways Vale of Rheidol fireman (1955-56) I had been a great supporter of the Supporters Association of this railway. When British Railways sold the railway the funds and any materials held were transferred to the Welshpool & Llanfair Railway and I became a life member.

Their journal keeps me informed of what they are getting up to with all the good work done by the staff and volunteers with time available to
