Get outside
According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the average American spends 93 per cent of their life indoors (6 per cent of that is spent in automobiles, which doesn’t really count as being “outdoors”). That’s a whopping 7 per cent of time spent outside. And according to studies conducted by the Journal of Environmental Science and Technology, getting outside for as little as five minutes at a time improves mood and self-esteem.
So what are we doing? There’s a whole world out there! There are beaches to drink margs on, birds to hear chirping, butterflies to chase, trails to hike, pool parties to be had.
