ROMANCE IS IN the air in the New South Wales Southern Highlands where Chelsea Gardens, a wedding and events company, is in full bloom. Established by stylist and former delicious . staffer Georgia Ashdown, it’s event planning with a fashionable twist.

“Having worked in fashion for 20 years – as a stylist and fashion editor – helps me to create events that are a bit more specialised,” says Ashdown. From Vogue make-up artists, and some of Australia’s renowned fashion designers creating bespoke wedding dresses and curating honeymoon wardrobes, to celebrity chefs designing special menus, Chelsea Gardens coordinate occasions on another level.

This was evident at the group’s launch: the long lunch, held at the picturesque grounds of Somerley House in Sutton Forest, was planned, styled and hosted by Ashdown herself, ensuring every detail was right on brand. “We wanted it to feel special, and our branding is very much about those qualities,” she says.
