“THIS SLEEVELESS, back-opening top was inspired by Japanese work clothes. It is a loose fit, so it can be layered over blouses or T-shirts,” explains Mary Henderson. “Bands of floral motifs are paired with peerie green bands to give the look and feel of a country garden. The garment is worked bottom-up with steeks at the back opening, armholes and neckline. Jamieson & Smith’s Jumper Weight wool is perfect for stranded knitting, and ‘sticky’ enough for the steeks to give an even finish.”
