“I TOOK inspiration for this jumper from the Setesdal sweaters of Norway - these tend to be black with white motifs, but I have used the hues of autumn sunrises and sunsets,” explains Mary Henderson. “The main motifs are at the hem borders, cuff and yoke, with the body and sleeves featuring a dotty pattern known as lice stitch.” Mary’s sweater is knitted in the round with steeks at the armholes and neck. It has relaxed fit, dropped shoulders, and short row-shaped shoulders worked in a single colour.
