The rally that time forgot part 1

No one who attended had any doubt that the inaugural Euro Lambretta in 1989 had been anything other than a complete success. Basic in its execution, perhaps; but the idea had worked, with everyone eager for the next event to happen. There was a slight snag though, in that it had been decided to run the event every two years. That was soon overruled and in the future, it would be held annually. By the time all this had been agreed it was too late for 1990, leaving a blank space in the Euro Lambretta calendar.

Mini Euro

The driving force behind the whole idea had been Vittorio Tessera and Tino Sacchi, both having been responsible for resurrecting the LCI in 1988. Tino, disappointed there would be no Euro Lambretta in 1990, took it upon himself to hold a mini version instead.
