The coronavirus crisis has shut down all non-essential businesses in Los Angeles. At the time of going to press, production for The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, and The Young and The Restless had been halted.

Traditionally, B&B and Y&R shoot between one and two months ahead, while DAYS is several months ahead. There are enough DAYS’ episodes to air until later this year.

Production of the soaps was shut down on March 17, according to Deadline the leading entertainment website. The shutdown coincided with a two-week pre-planned hiatus. Deadline reported that will remain dark after the two weeks until is the show that is the most-prepared to weather a long hiatus given its leadtime.
