Fetching the dog lead from the side table, Baloo immediately jumped for joy.

‘Come on then girl,’ I smiled, hooking the lead up to her collar.

I was enjoying a caravan holiday down in Exmouth, Devon, with my parents, Nita, 73, and Dave, 72.

For the past week, we’d just been relaxing and spending some quality time as a family.

It was wonderful and taking Baloo on long walks across the fields and beaches, there’s nothing quite so peaceful.
