Lonestar Roundup

They do things really big in Texas (but y’all know that), and the Lonestar Roundup is no exception. 2019 was the 19th year for this giant, strictly traditional rod and custom gathering and music festival, and what better place to pull this off than Texas’ music capital of Austin?

I’d read about this event for years. My pal Bobby Hilton, who builds some great Model A-based rods in The Plains, Va., typically boogies from Virginia to Austin in a caravan of his hopped-up, seriously chopped and fenderless “Angry A’s,” and he’s been after me for years to go down.
