Though [you] remarked in the July 9 “Q&A” column that [you’ve] never seen a snowplow on a bus, in response to the photo submitted by Tom Robinson of Montclair, N.J., I can recall at least one example from the movies that seems grounded in fact. The 1968 film “Where Eagles Dare,” a World War II actioner that Turner Classic Movies most recently aired on Memorial Day, prominently features a snowplow-equipped “Postbus” of the sort used for many years readers can view these & watch?v=8qA1A3iDNn0 or search “Where Eagles Dare bus escape” & “airfield escape scene,” respectively).
