iOS14

Home Screen

Swiping right from the Home screen in iOS 13 or iPadOS reveals widgets, small windows onto content and functions provided by different apps. But in iOS 14, widgets are mixed right into your app icon grid. Each can be a square, taking up four app slots; a full-width rectangle; or a half-screen block. So their content can vary from a quick status update or interactive control to a news feed or weather report.

Naturally, you can arrange widgets as you like – you could just stick them all on a separate page if you prefer. Or opt for a Smart Stack, a fixed position where the most relevant widget will appear at any time, based on your app usage.
